It's true.

Every business NEEDS marketing.

But what if you don't know anything about marketing?

Or if you don't have enough experience?

Now, I understand that there are a million and one resources out there, that you can use to acquire knowledge about marketing. And one might say that there's no need to worry about, because of it.

But there's a couple of things you should know:

1. You can't be a master of all (or even many) things that's required for your business. There's only so much your (or my) brain can master. Eventually, you'd have to outsource.

2.  If you're a business owner, or even a professional, chances are, you already have (more than) enough work on your hands.

Now, if you decided to go DIY route, in your marketing strategy, how will you find the time to spare to learn all the knowledge?

3. Even if you manage to learn marketing, you wouldn't be able to do all the things that a marketing team / agency is able to do for your business.

The marketing game has obviously changed now. Industry standards have been lifted farther away that where they used to be. There's a lot that need to be done. One marketing personnel can't handle all of that workload, let alone a person who doesn't know about marketing.

With an agency, you're getting a whole lot of perks than just advice and expertise. You're also getting the ability to scale your marketing strategy, at a rate that you wouldn't even be able to imagine, if you were handling the marketing needs, all by yourself.

With an agency, your marketing strategy is going to be evaluated by a bunch of people, who are really good at their job, who have done this before, thus have a good amount of real-life experience. 

Even though you, somehow, managed to learn all about marketing, you’d still be outdone by expert marketers, with more experience and team members, that are out there, any day. That's a fact everyone knows.

The reason for this is that these expert marketers, and agencies know their craft really well, and they’ve handled a good number of clients before. So, they know what to do, and how to do it, just by looking at your marketing strategy.

Also, they’re constantly in-touch with the latest industry related news, trends, and other stuff, and they have a good network built around them. So, their ability to stay on top of their job, and get things done in a timely manner, can’t be matched by a complete DIY marketer.

With marketing in real life, you can't afford to have a margin of error. You're dealing with real money and real businesses here. You can't 'blind-test' things, in order to 'learn'. You're going to waste a lot of money, as well as a lot of time that way. So, instead of trying to learn the ropes of a completely foreign subject, you could outsource the entire marketing workload, to a team of people who know what they’re doing, and instead, focus on what YOU do best.
